Yesterday was warm, and the lake was still. The late afternoon sunset turned our backyard into an autumn spectacular in the last light. The grasses were going to seed, every tassel a work of art. Delicate stems made impossible curves that seemed to float on the breezes. The few remaining leaves glowed with warm hues against a deep blue sky. I am inspired by the fall of the light here, and the quiet beauty of Indian Lake.
